Back-To-School Exams with Our Elkridge Chiropractor
At Rower Chiropractic, we pride ourselves in being your go-to Elkridge chiropractor for all your family's spinal health and wellness needs. And with many children having recently returned back to school for the year, now is a good time to focus on your child's pediatric chiropractic care by scheduling a back to school exam.
Have Our Chiropractor in Elkridge Do a Back-to-School Chiropractic Exam for Your Child
When most parents think of back to school exams, they tend to think of eye exams and physicals. And while these are undoubtedly important, having a chiropractic screening done with our chiropractor in Elkridge is also highly recommended. As your child grows, his or her spine is constantly developing; in some cases, spinal problems during development can result in pain and discomfort for your child.
This is especially common in the spinal condition known as scoliosis, which is an abnormal curvature of the spine. Scoliosis typically manifests itself in a child's pre-pubescent years while the body is still developing and can cause a number of side effects, including back pain and neck pain. In serious cases, scoliosis can also result in damage to the internal organs. In our office, we can provide the necessary chiropractic treatment to help your child find pain relief.
Even if your child doesn't have scoliosis, a back to school exam can discover other potential spinal health issues that your everyday physician may not have. For example, many children suffer from back and neck problems during the school year as a result of carrying around too much weight (from books, homework, etc.) in their backpacks or wearing their backpacks improperly so that the weight isn't evenly distributed. We can address these problems right here in our office.
